Grayscale’s Zcash ETF Attracts $14.8M — Could Investor Appetite Be Shifting?

The conversation around privacy coins is heating up again, and institutional money appears to be taking notice.

A sudden spike in inflows for Grayscale’s Zcash ETF is raising an important question: are investors finally ready to rotate capital back into privacy-focused assets?

The Zcash ETF Inflow Surge

Recent data from Farside Investors reveals a notable shift in momentum for the Grayscale Zcash ETF (ZCSH). On October 29, the fund recorded a massive daily inflow of $14.8 million.

This green candle is a stark contrast to the early part of the month, which was dominated by persistent outflows, including a negative $14.8 million day on October 16.

While the total cumulative flows remain a mixed bag, this recent spike suggests that institutional investors are using the recent price dip as an opportunity to accumulate ZEC exposure through regulated financial products.

The development comes as institutional interest in Zcash continues to shape the privacy coin’s investment narrative.

Zcash Price Analysis: Navigating the $1.2K Zone

As of October 30, 2026, at 18:30 UTC, Zcash is trading at $1,227.27, reflecting a 1.7% decline over the past seven days. The weekly chart highlights a highly volatile week for the privacy coin.

After finding a solid floor near $1,150 on October 25, bulls stepped in to drive the price to a local peak of $1,350 on October 29.

The subsequent pullback has brought ZEC back down to the $1,230 range. Immediate support now rests firmly at the $1,200 psychological level, while resistance is established at $1,280.

Is a Bigger Trend Shifting?

While a $14.8 million inflow is a bullish signal, it is too early to declare a definitive trend reversal.

The broader market remains cautious, and privacy coins continue to face significant regulatory headwinds globally.

However, the fact that institutional players are actively buying the dip via ETFs indicates a growing appetite for the privacy narrative.

Zcash’s ongoing development efforts, including work to expand private transaction capacity, add another dimension to the story, as explored in TechGaged’s report on Zcash’s potential privacy scaling.

If Zcash can hold above the $1,200 support and the ETF inflows continue, the stage could be set for a more sustained recovery phase.

For now, the market is left to balance this looming supply threat against current liquidity conditions, while Ethereum’s exchange supply and outflow trends offer additional context for assessing available market liquidity.
