Ripple Secures Bank Approval. But XRP’s Timeline Slips

Ripple has received final approval to stand up a national trust bank in the United States, locking in a regulatory milestone at the same time several proposed XRP investment products keep facing delays and amendments. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's (OCC) granted the final approval for Ripple to build their own federally supervised national trust bank.
The approval finishes the chartering process for Ripple National Trust Bank, which earlier held only conditional clearance. It gives the company a federally supervised entity for trust and custody operations, potentially strengthening its hand in institutional digital-asset markets.
The banking clearance lands alongside fresh attempts to package XRP for broader investors. A filing for a leveraged XRP exchange-traded fund had its effective date pushed back, with regulators now pointing to a November 30 deadline.
Separately, Cryptex Finance updated its registration statement for a proposed multi-token spot fund that would hold XRP alongside assets such as Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Zcash (ZEC). The filing remains pre-effective, so the fund cannot launch until it clears the rest of the regulatory process.
These products would widen the ways investors could gain XRP exposure, yet the gap between filing and actual trading remains wide. Regulatory timing continues to act as the main variable in the token’s institutional story.
Evernorth Holdings, a Ripple-backed XRP treasury company, is planning an $80 million stock issuance aimed at increasing its XRP holdings.
The approach mirrors the corporate accumulation model used by firms that raise capital specifically to buy and hold digital assets on their balance sheets.
Exchange data has painted a mixed picture of positioning. Withdrawal transactions recently outpaced deposits on major venues, a pattern that’s often linked to holders moving assets off exchanges. Transaction counts do not show the size of those moves, however, and separate reports noted large XRP transfers heading into Binance.
XRP’s price trades near $1.32 after a daily price upswing of roughly 1.7 percent, while its risk-adjusted performance measure on Binance hit a four-month low.
That leaves crypto traders balancing potentially constructive institutional developments against subdued returns and an upcoming Federal Reserve decision that is expected to influence appetite for risk assets one way or the other.
