Summary

  • Bitcoin treasury firm Strive acquired 4,045 BTC in one week, bringing its total holdings to 36,818 BTC and ranking fourth globally.

  • The company reported $317.5 million in cash, while warrant exercises generated approximately $369.2 million to support its broader financing activities.

  • A $630 million preferred stock offering is scheduled to settle October 20, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory requirements.

Strive increased its Bitcoin holdings by 4,045 BTC during the week ending October 16, strengthening its corporate treasury position. According to an SEC filing released Monday, Strive acquired 1,223 BTC between October 14 and 16, bringing its total holdings to 36,818 BTC.

The expansion strengthens Strive’s position among major corporate Bitcoin holders and supports CEO Matt Cole’s ambition of reaching second place by year-end. Earlier in the week, Strive purchased 2,822 BTC for approximately $235 million, bringing its total weekly acquisitions to 4,045 BTC.

According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, Strategy leads with 848,517 BTC, followed by Metaplanet’s 44,000 BTC and Twenty One’s 43,514 BTC. Strive ranks fourth with 36,818 BTC, ahead of MARA’s 35,577 BTC.

Strive needs another 7,183 BTC to surpass Metaplanet’s current holdings, assuming the Japanese company makes no additional purchases. Acquiring approximately 700 BTC weekly could support that target, although further purchases by competing companies could change the rankings.

Strive Reports $317.5 Million Cash Balance Following Bitcoin Acquisitions

Alongside its Bitcoin purchases, Strive reported $317.5 million in cash and cash equivalents as of October 16. This marks an increase from the $310.3 million recorded one week earlier, while outstanding Class A shares rose by approximately 13.7 million to 114.8 million.

Additionally, warrant exercises generated approximately $369.2 million, providing Strive with another source of capital. All traditional warrants had either been exercised or expired, with the remaining warrants expiring on October 13. These financial developments accompanied Strive’s Bitcoin acquisitions as the company expanded its treasury and adjusted its capital structure.

Strive Targets $630 Million Through New Preferred Share Offering

Strive also maintained its investment in Strategy‘s STRC preferred stock, holding 505,000 shares valued at approximately $49.3 million. Meanwhile, its existing SATA preferred shares remained unchanged at approximately 14 million.

On October 15, Strive priced a separate offering of seven million SATS preferred shares. The company expects to raise approximately $630 million before expenses through the transaction.

The offering is scheduled to settle on October 20, subject to customary closing conditions. Strive has identified Bitcoin acquisitions and related investments among the possible uses of proceeds from the preferred stock offering.
