Bitcoin Hyper announced on October 8, 2026 that its HYPER token presale will continue until Q2 2027, citing remaining development work, optimization, polishing, audits, and testing. The announcement first appeared on Telegram, followed by an October 9 X thread. It extends the fundraising period into April–June 2027 without providing a specific closing date.
Alongside the extension, Bitcoin Hyper announced a gradual rollout of its testnet, a testing version of the proposed network, and related products over the coming weeks. The project framed the delay as giving developers more time to prepare for the next phase, while presenting the testnet announcement as “even better news.”
Bitcoin Hyper Plans Six-Week Testnet Rollout
The first product update, published on the project website and dated October 8, shares the testnet’s RPC endpoint, which developers and applications use to communicate with the network. Bitcoin Hyper plans to release its explorer in week two, wallet in week three, and faucet, which supplies tokens for testing, in week four. A bridge for transfers between Bitcoin Hyper, Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin is scheduled for week five, followed by a staking dashboard in week six.
The update also warns that HYPER tokens already deployed on Ethereum and Solana are test versions with no assigned value. These deployments do not represent the future official token and should be treated as worthless test tokens. Bitcoin Hyper says it will launch the official HYPER token separately after its token generation event, with deployment addresses announced through its official channels.
Presale Extension Draws Angry Responses
The extension comes 17 months after the presale opened in May 2025. According to the project’s launchpad, it has raised over $31 million. Continuing until Q2 2027 would stretch the sale to nearly two years or longer.
Several replies to the X announcement accused Bitcoin Hyper of running a scam or prolonging fundraising to collect more money. One account called for collective legal action, while another welcomed the announcement as transparency.
