Lookonchain posted. It says 2 whales, meaning very large traders, opened 10x long positions on 29,798 ZEC, worth $37.57M, over 15 hours.

A long is a bet that the price will rise, and 10x means the trader holds ten times their own capital through borrowing.

Zcash NU7 Upgrade: Faster Blocks Targeted for November 5

A post on X says Zcash developers have targeted November 5 for the NU7 upgrade, pending final implementation. It would cut block times, the gap between new blocks, from 75 seconds to 25 seconds.

It would also temporarily remove 60% of transaction fees from circulation, and the mining reward halving schedule would stay the same. 

The post adds that the activation height, the block number where the upgrade turns on, still has to be added to node software.

Zcash Outlook: ZEC Liquidation and Futures Volume

A liquidation happens when an exchange force-closes a leveraged trade because the trader can no longer cover losses. Coinglass shows these ZEC totals:

Shorts, which bet on a fall, took about 85% of the $14.60M liquidated over 24 hours. That fits a price that has been climbing.

Coinglass futures volume leads with Binance at $2.13B, then MEXC at $1.60B, OKX at $1.50B, Bybit at $419.41M and Hyperliquid at $407.14M. The screenshot does not show the time window.

ZEC Technical Analysis: Daily Chart Read

ZEC has moved above the upper line of a falling channel. The daily candle opened at $1,255.80 and now sits at $1,284.58, just under the $1,303.55 level. This is an early move, not a confirmed trend change.

An EMA, Price is above both lines, and the 20 EMA  $1,238.32 sits above the 50 EMA $1,188.16. That supports the bounce, but the nearest resistance is the key test. 

Zcash Forecast: Support and Resistance Levels

Bull case: A daily close above $1,303.55, with price holding over $1,200.01, would show buyers in control, with $1,500.36 next.

Bear case: A close below $1,200.01 would put the EMA zone at risk and open a move toward $1,047.51.
