Securitize on Oct. 8 announced Securitize Stocks, a Solana-based offering of 12 tokenized U.S. equities for eligible investors. The tokens initially trade through Securitize’s registered broker-dealer platform, settle in USDC and are available during extended hours, while round-the-clock trading remains a planned step rather than a live launch feature.

Securitize lists 12 U.S. equities on Solana

The initial roster comprises Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, Strategy, MicroStrategy and Palantir, according to Securitize’s announcement.

The launch gives eligible investors onchain access to economic exposure tied to those shares. It is structured through Securitize’s regulated broker-dealer operation, rather than as a conventional crypto exchange listing.

Article 8 structure ties tokens to underlying shares

Each Securitize Stock is backed 1:1 by an underlying share. The company said the instruments are structured as security entitlements under UCC Article 8, a framework used for intermediated securities holdings.

That design is intended to preserve applicable economic benefits associated with the underlying shares, including dividends and, where available, voting rights. The distinction matters because the offering is framed as an entitlement to securities held through an intermediary, not simply as a token that tracks a stock’s price.

Broker-dealer trading starts in USDC

At launch, transactions run through Securitize’s Solana platform, settle in USDC and are available during extended trading hours; Securitize said it plans to move toward 24/7 trading, though continuous trading is not currently available.

The launch uses Securitize’s Solana PropAMM, with Jump Trading serving as market maker, The Block reported. Securitize also has future venue plans involving the NYSE’s digital trading venue and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, subject to those platforms launching and to regulatory requirements.
