Sui Price Drops 9.5% in a Day: The Levels SUI Must Hold Now

Sui traded at $0.847 at 18:23 UTC, down 9.5% in 24 hours, 10.8% in seven days and 29% in 30 days (CoinGecko). Bitcoin lost 5.6% over the same 24 hours. The trigger came from outside: a Nasdaq chip rout that hit every large coin.

The full background is in our piece on the Bitcoin crash. Here is what it means for SUI: which levels count, what could change the picture and how to hedge.

Why Is Sui Down? It Follows Bitcoin

We found no Sui-specific trigger for Thursday's drop. The daily returns of SUI and Bitcoin over the past 30 days have a correlation of 0.84 by our calculation from Binance data, so SUI mostly follows the market. Liquidations of leveraged longs across crypto added pressure. For the project itself, recent news includes the Sui token unlock.

A further tranche of SUI was due out of lock-up in early November. Trackers named between 2.07 and 22.6 million SUI, and even the largest figure is only about half a percent of the circulating supply, so the drop is hard to pin on that alone.

Sui Price: The Levels That Count Now

SUI fell back under its 200-day average on Thursday, and that average now sits just above the price.

LevelWhat it is
$1.01650-day average
$0.864200-day average
$0.847Price now
$0.82830-day low (Binance)
$5.350All-time high, down 84% since then

Our assessment, not a forecast: as long as Bitcoin holds the $75,000 area, a move back toward the 50-day average stays possible. If that area breaks, the 30-day low is the first level at risk.

How to Hedge and Earn on Sui in This Market

Remove leverage first, because a falling price then lowers only your book value. A stablecoin share or a short of the same size reduces the risk, with its own costs. Buying in small instalments spreads your entry price. Short positions earn on falling prices but can wipe out your margin quickly. Details are in our Bitcoin crash guide.

Where Can You Buy Sui?

Our comparisons of regulated exchanges and crypto brokers set out fees and features for Sui and other coins. Three common platforms, with partner links; check that SUI is offered in your country:
