Strive bought 6,182 bitcoin for approximately $511.4 million during the week ended October 23, lifting its corporate treasury to 43,000 BTC, according to an October 26 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The acquisition was made between October 17 and October 23 at an all-in average cost of about $82,732 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses.

The purchase materially expanded the company’s bitcoin position over a short period: Strive held 36,818 BTC on October 16. Its updated total places the company among the largest publicly traded corporate bitcoin holders, while disclosures made at the same time showed higher cash reserves, a larger effective common-share count and a new preferred-stock issuance program with up to $1 billion of potential sales capacity.

Strive adds 6,182 BTC in one week

Strive’s Form 8-K records the acquisition of 6,182 BTC over seven days, lifting its holdings from 36,818 BTC to 43,000 BTC as of October 23. The filing reported an average purchase cost of approximately $82,732 per bitcoin, or about $511.4 million in aggregate, inclusive of fees and expenses. The 6,182 BTC purchase represented Strive’s reported week-over-week increase in bitcoin holdings.

43,000 BTC puts Strive fourth among public holders

With 43,000 BTC, Strive became the fourth-largest public-company bitcoin holder at the time, according to The Block, which independently confirmed the transaction. Strategy, Metaplanet and Twenty One Capital ranked ahead of Strive in that ordering.

The ranking gives the purchase a clearer corporate-treasury context than the dollar amount alone. Strive’s disclosed balance is a holdings figure as of October 23, and the comparative position reflects the public-company ranking reported at that time rather than a permanent standing.

For Strive, the move from 36,818 BTC to 43,000 BTC put it over a round-number threshold while narrowing its focus to balance-sheet accumulation at a scale usually associated with the largest listed bitcoin treasury companies. The company’s filing establishes the size and cost of the new purchase, while the independent report supplies the relative ranking.

Cash, share count and the new SATS ATM program

Strive also reported $504.4 million in cash and cash equivalents as of October 23, compared with $317.5 million a week earlier. Over the same interval, its effective common shares outstanding increased to 127.3 million from 124.1 million, the company said in the SEC filing.

Taken together, the figures provide a dated view of the company’s liquidity and share count, not an explanation of the bitcoin purchase. The cited information does not allocate either the cash increase or the change in effective common shares to specific transactions.

Separately, Strive established an at-the-market program for its SATS preferred stock that permits up to $1 billion in aggregate sales. In a company announcement republished by StockTitan, Strive said proceeds from the facility may be used for bitcoin purchases, working capital, acquisitions, dividends and share repurchases.

The program therefore creates a stated route for additional financing, though it is a sales authorization rather than a disclosure that the full $1 billion has been raised or committed to bitcoin. Its permitted uses extend beyond the company’s treasury strategy, leaving management discretion over how any proceeds are deployed.

Combined with the higher cash balance and increased share count reported for the October 23 date, the preferred-stock facility shows that Strive’s latest accumulation was accompanied by an expanding set of disclosed funding and capital-management tools.
