Strive purchased 1,223 bitcoin between October 14 and October 16, paying an average all-in cost of about $81,734 per BTC, according to a company filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The disclosure came as the company reported a bitcoin treasury of 36,818 BTC as of October 16.
That balance was 4,045 BTC higher than the 32,773 BTC Strive reported a week earlier. The distinction matters: the newly detailed 1,223-BTC purchase formed part of a larger expansion in the company’s holdings during the reported week, rather than representing the full change in its treasury.
Strive’s October 14–16 purchase
Strive’s October 19 filing said the company acquired the 1,223 BTC over the three-day period at an average price inclusive of fees and expenses. The transaction added to purchases made elsewhere in the October 12–16 reporting window and brought the company’s stated holdings to 36,818 BTC on October 16.
The filing compares that total with 32,773 BTC held on October 9. On that basis, Strive added 4,045 BTC over the week. The company did not present the 1,223 BTC as the sole source of the weekly increase in the cited disclosure.
The reported cost basis is notable because it is specific to the October 14–16 purchase. It should not be read as the average cost for Strive’s full bitcoin position, which was accumulated through transactions across different periods.
Weekly buying reached 4,045 BTC
For the broader October 12–16 period, Strive acquired 4,045 BTC for approximately $335 million, at an average purchase price of about $82,803 per bitcoin, according to Cointelegraph. That aggregate figure covers more bitcoin than the separately disclosed 1,223-BTC transaction.
The two reported average prices cover different acquisition windows and purchase totals: the $81,734 figure applies to the October 14–16 purchase cited in Strive’s SEC filing, while the roughly $82,803 figure applies to the 4,045 BTC bought during October 12–16.
At 36,818 BTC, the treasury total provides the clearest measure of the week’s result: Strive’s bitcoin holdings increased by more than 12% from the October 9 level. The company’s disclosures detail holdings and purchase activity, rather than assigning a market value to the entire BTC balance in the materials cited here.

Cash reserves and STRC holdings
Bitcoin was not Strive’s only reported treasury asset. The company ended October 16 with $317.5 million in cash and cash equivalents, compared with $310.3 million a week earlier, according to The Block.
It also held 505,000 shares of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock, valued at approximately $49.3 million. Those reported cash and preferred-share positions sit alongside the enlarged bitcoin treasury and give a broader view of the assets disclosed around the October 16 reporting date.
Although cash increased over the prior week, Strive also reported substantial bitcoin acquisitions; the available disclosures do not, by themselves, allocate the sources of funds for each purchase or establish how the company will deploy each component of its reported liquidity.
$630 million SATS offering
Strive’s treasury update arrived shortly after the company priced a $630 million offering of 7 million SATS preferred shares. Settlement was scheduled for October 20, subject to customary closing conditions, according to Strive’s October 16 SEC filing.
The company said net proceeds from the offering may be used for bitcoin purchases and other corporate purposes. Because settlement remained subject to closing conditions at the time of the announcement, the offering was a prospective source of purchase capacity rather than a completed funding event.
If the transaction closes as scheduled, it would add a sizable potential financing channel shortly after Strive’s reported 4,045-BTC weekly buildup. Strive has not, in the cited filing, committed the full proceeds specifically to bitcoin acquisitions.
