The listing gives Nexo’s loyalty token a new home on one of crypto’s longest-standing exchanges, open to both retail and professional traders.

Kraken has listed NEXO, the native token of digital asset wealth platform Nexo, adding a well-established venue to the token’s trading footprint. Trading opened on October 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM UTC across three pairs: NEXO/USD, NEXO/USDT and NEXO/USDC.

The token is available on both Kraken and Kraken Pro, so everyday users and more advanced traders can access it through the interface that suits them.

“Kraken adds another established venue for our native NEXO Token and brings it to a broad base of consumer and professional traders,” said Yasen Yankov, Chief Product Officer at Nexo. “Clients now have yet another established place to trade NEXO, and we are proud to have our token on one of the most respected exchanges in the digital assets space.”

Flexible Ways to Trade

The mix of fiat and stablecoin pairs lets traders choose how they enter and exit positions. The USD pair suits those who prefer trading directly against dollars, while the USDT and USDC pairs serve users who already hold stablecoin balances and want to stay within digital asset markets.

For current holders, the listing adds another venue for buying and selling. For newcomers, it offers a route to NEXO through an exchange they may already use.

A Token Built Around Platform Benefits

NEXO launched in 2018 and has been central to Nexo’s ecosystem ever since. Its main role is in the company’s loyalty program, where eligible holders can unlock benefits such as lower borrowing rates and fee-free transfers.

That gives the token two distinct functions. Inside Nexo, holding it can unlock loyalty benefits. On external exchanges like Kraken, it trades as a market asset. The Kraken listing expands the second function without changing the first: the loyalty program and the token’s existing utility remain the same, and no new features were announced alongside the listing.

Why Exchange Access Matters

For utility tokens tied to a specific platform, availability on major exchanges allows users to acquire and sell the asset independently of the platform where its benefits apply. Broader access can support a token’s market presence and make it easier for new participants to get involved.

Listings do not, on their own, guarantee deeper liquidity or sustained demand. Those depend on trading activity, market conditions and investor interest, and the announcement did not include projections for volume or liquidity.

Looking Ahead

The Kraken listing reflects Nexo’s ongoing effort to make its token available across a wider range of trading platforms while preserving its role within the company’s services. With NEXO/USD, NEXO/USDT and NEXO/USDC now live, holders and prospective buyers have one more established place to trade the token. How much the new access point shifts trading activity or adoption will become clearer in the weeks ahead.
