Summary

  • Solana recorded a 33% increase in new addresses since September 1, while SOL gained approximately 20% over the same period.
  • Ethereum’s new addresses remained largely unchanged despite an approximately 11% ETH price gain during Santiment’s comparison period beginning September 1.
  • Chainlink climbed from $11.22 to $13.96, registering approximately 24% price growth, while its new address count increased less than 2%.

Solana led Ethereum and Chainlink in new address growth, recording a 33% increase during the comparison period beginning September 1. According to Santiment, SOL gained approximately 20% over the same period, while its new address growth exceeded both competing networks.

Solana registered the largest percentage increase in new addresses, while Chainlink recorded the strongest price gain among the assets compared. Within Solana’s figures, new address growth exceeded SOL’s price increase by approximately 13 percentage points during the period under review.

Ethereum recorded largely unchanged new address numbers, even as ETH gained approximately 11% from the September 1 comparison baseline. The network therefore trailed Solana in both reported measures, with a smaller token price gain and limited new address growth.

ETH’s approximately 11% increase compared with SOL’s 20% advance, leaving a nine-percentage-point difference between their reported price gains. Unlike Solana, Ethereum did not record a corresponding increase in new addresses alongside the rise in its token price.

Chainlink’s Stronger Price Rally Comes With Less Than 2% Address Growth

Chainlink’s price climbed from $11.22 on September 1 to $13.96 on October 6, representing an increase of approximately 24%. LINK added $2.74 over that period, placing its percentage price gain above the increases reported for both SOL and ETH.

Despite leading the price comparison, Chainlink recorded less than 2% growth in new addresses over the period Santiment measured. Its figures contrasted with Solana’s 33% increase, which exceeded Chainlink’s new address growth by more than 31 percentage points.

Chainlink joined Ethereum in recording limited address growth alongside rising token prices, while Solana posted increases across both measures. Across the three networks, the strongest token price performance and the largest increase in new addresses belonged to different assets.

Santiment’s comparison placed Solana first in new address growth, with Ethereum largely flat and Chainlink’s increase remaining below 2%.
