The 1inch Wallet, listed in app stores as “1inch: DeFi Crypto Wallet,” is a free, non-custodial mobile wallet from 1inch, the DeFi aggregator known for routing token swaps across hundreds of liquidity sources. Available on iOS and Android, it supports 18 networks as of October 2026, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and Solana, and most swaps in the app need no native gas token and are protected from MEV, because professional resolvers fill them and recover the network cost through the quoted rate. 1inch charges no interface fee, although infrastructure fees from 1inch Business, the API layer behind the app, can apply to some swaps. The wallet suits active DeFi users who want aggregated swap rates on a phone; anyone who needs a desktop extension or native Bitcoin support will need a different wallet.

Key Takeaways:

  • Non-custodial: users hold their own keys, and 1inch never holds user funds
  • 18 supported networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Monad and Solana; Fantom was dropped in June 2025
  • Most swaps need no native gas token and are MEV-protected, with cross-chain swaps and, since July 2026, limit orders
  • No 1inch interface fee, while MetaMask charges 0.875% per swap; infrastructure fees from 1inch Business can apply on some swaps
  • No breach of the wallet app on record, but 1inch’s web app and resolver contracts were targeted in incidents in 2024, 2025 and 2026

What Is the 1inch Wallet?

The 1inch Wallet is a self-custody mobile cryptocurrency wallet built by 1inch, the team behind one of DeFi’s largest swap aggregators. 1inch moved its main domain from 1inch.io to 1inch.com in an October 2025 rebrand, and its website cites more than $815 billion in swap volume and more than 28 million connected wallets. Available on iOS and Android, the wallet combines asset storage, swaps, portfolio tracking and DeFi position monitoring in a single app.

Unlike general-purpose wallets such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet, the 1inch Wallet is built around 1inch’s own swap engine. Most swaps are intent-based: you sign an order, and professional market makers called resolvers compete to fill it and submit it on-chain, recovering the network cost through a slightly lower amount received rather than charging you gas. Because the order never sits in the public mempool, it is shielded from front-running and sandwich attacks. Other swaps route through 1inch’s classic aggregator, which splits a trade across DEX pools to find the best available rate.

The wallet is also one of 1inch’s access points for tokenized real-world assets. Following the 1inch Swap API upgrade to support tokenized real-world assets in September 2025, eligible users can swap into Ondo Global Markets tokens that track U.S. stocks and ETFs on Ethereum and BNB Chain. The feature is not available to users in the United States or the United Kingdom.

How Does the 1inch Wallet Compare to Other DeFi Wallets?

The 1inch Wallet competes with MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Phantom for DeFi-focused mobile users.

Feature 1inch Wallet MetaMask Trust Wallet Phantom
Non-custodial Yes Yes Yes Yes
Networks 18 (EVM chains and Solana) EVM networks plus Solana, Bitcoin and Tron 100+ Solana, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Sui, Bitcoin, HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain
Built-in swap fee No 1inch interface fee; infrastructure fees may apply 0.875% Varies by provider 0.85% on select swaps
MEV protection Yes, on intent-based swaps Yes, via Smart Transactions Yes, on by default Not stated
Desktop browser extension No (mobile only) Yes Yes Yes

The 1inch Wallet’s clearest advantage is cost. 1inch adds no interface fee, while MetaMask charges 0.875% on swaps and Phantom 0.85% on select swaps. On a $5,000 swap, MetaMask’s fee comes to $43.75. MEV protection is no longer unique to 1inch, since MetaMask’s Smart Transactions and Trust Wallet’s MEV Protection both run by default. What sets 1inch apart is that most swaps need no native gas token: the resolver submits the transaction and recovers the cost through the quoted rate. MetaMask’s gasless option deducts the network fee from the token you are swapping, and only when you lack enough native token for gas.

1inch Wallet Key Features

Multi-chain support The 1inch Wallet supports 18 networks as of October 2026: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Gnosis, Linea, Unichain, Sonic, zkSync Era, Robinhood Chain, Cronos, Monad, HyperEVM, Arc and Solana. 1inch dropped Fantom in June 2025, and the app store descriptions still mention an older 13-network setup, so check the in-app network list before sending funds. Native Bitcoin is not supported.

Gasless, MEV-protected swaps Most swaps in the wallet are intent-based: resolvers compete to fill your order and submit it on-chain, and the trade stays out of the public mempool, which blocks front-running and sandwich attacks. You need no native gas token, because the network cost is taken from the amount you receive. You still pay gas on Solana swaps, on swaps from a network’s native token, and on some very small swaps, and a first-time token approval can require a small amount of the native token.

DEX aggregation When a trade routes through 1inch’s classic aggregator, the Pathfinder algorithm compares liquidity across hundreds of DEX pools and can split a single swap across several of them to reduce slippage. Pool fees are built into the quoted rate.

Cross-chain swaps The wallet can swap tokens between supported networks without a separate bridge app. Swaps between Solana and EVM chains were added in August 2025.

Limit orders Added in July 2026, limit orders let you set a target price for a token pair on the same network and choose how long the order stays open. They work on 13 networks, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, and Base.

DeFi Positions Since June 2026, the DeFi Positions view tracks deposits, loans and liquidity positions across more than 1,200 protocols. It is a tracking view, not a staking or yield product.

Scam protection The wallet flags suspicious tokens, addresses, transactions, and websites before you interact with them. The checks reduce, but do not eliminate, the risk of signing a malicious approval.

Portfolio analytics The portfolio screen shows balances across all supported networks, with profit and loss tracking for your holdings.

Buy crypto with a card The Buy option connects you to on-ramp providers including MoonPay, Banxa, Mercuryo, Transak, Ramp, Sardine and Stripe. On Android the app suggests the best offer, while on iOS purchases run through Ramp. Fees are set by the provider.

Hardware wallet support You can pair a Ledger device so that transactions are signed on the hardware wallet and private keys never touch your phone. The Nano X connects over Bluetooth, and support for Ledger Stax and Flex was added in February 2025.

KuCoin Web3 Wallet integration In May 2026, KuCoin Web3 Wallet integrated the 1inch Swap API for gasless, MEV-protected swaps, including the real-world asset tokens KuCoin had added through a separate Ondo Finance integration.

SafePal integration In July 2025, SafePal integrated the 1inch Swap API to give its wallet users secure swaps at competitive rates.

Is the 1inch Wallet Safe?

The 1inch Wallet app has no recorded breach, but the wider 1inch ecosystem has been targeted several times, so it is worth knowing where the risks sit:

Non-custodial architecture. 1inch never holds user funds. Private keys are generated and stored on your device, and you alone control the recovery phrase.

Security incidents. In October 2024, a supply-chain attack on a third-party animation library injected malicious code into 1inch’s web app front end, and some users who signed approvals there lost funds; 1inch pledged refunds, and the wallet app was not affected. In March 2025, a bug in an obsolete Fusion v1 settlement contract let an attacker drain about $5 million from resolvers rather than end users, and most of it was returned in exchange for a bounty. In May 2026, an exploit drained about $6.7 million from TrustedVolumes, an independent liquidity provider, through its resolver contract; 1inch said user funds were not affected.

Audits and bug bounty. 1inch’s smart contracts have been audited by firms including OpenZeppelin, Consensys Diligence, Hexens, PeckShield and Decurity, and the wallet page shows SlowMist and Cure53 under Audits. Since June 2026, 1inch has run a dedicated 1inch Wallet bug bounty on Immunefi with rewards of up to $100,000.

MEV and scam protection. Intent-based swaps keep orders out of the public mempool, and the built-in screening warns about suspicious tokens, addresses and websites.

User ratings. As of October 2026, 1inch holds a 3.6 out of 5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 547 reviews, while the app is rated 4.3 on Google Play and 4.0 on the App Store in the U.S.

Backups and app access. The app is protected by a passcode and biometrics. You can back up the recovery phrase manually, to an encrypted file, or to iCloud or Google Drive with your own encryption passphrase.

User responsibility. The wallet’s security depends on how you manage the recovery phrase. If it is lost or shared, funds cannot be recovered. Pairing a Ledger device is the safer setup for significant amounts.

How to Set Up the 1inch Wallet

Step 1: Download Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Search for “1inch: DeFi Crypto Wallet” and check the developer before installing: 1inch Limited on the App Store and Degensoft Ltd. on Google Play.

Step 2: Create or import a wallet Choose to create a new wallet, or import an existing one from MetaMask or another wallet using its recovery phrase.

Step 3: Back up your recovery phrase Write the phrase down and store it offline, or turn on the encrypted cloud backup with a strong passphrase. Without a backup, a lost or broken phone means lost funds. Never share the phrase with anyone.

Step 4: Set your PIN or biometric authentication Enable Face ID, fingerprint, or a passcode for app access. This protects the wallet from unauthorized access on the device.

Step 5: Fund your wallet Copy your address for the network you want to use and send crypto to it from an exchange, or use the in-app Buy option to pay by card through an on-ramp provider.

Step 6: Start swapping Tap “Swap,” choose the tokens and amount, and review the quote before confirming. On intent-based swaps you need no native gas token, because the network cost comes out of the amount you receive; on Solana swaps and swaps from a native token, you pay the network fee.

How to Withdraw Money from the 1inch Wallet

“Withdrawing money” from the 1inch Wallet means either sending crypto to another wallet or exchange, or converting it to fiat through a third-party service.

Sending to a CEX (to sell for fiat):

  1. Open the 1inch Wallet and tap “Send”
  2. Select the token and amount you want to send
  3. Enter the deposit address of your centralized exchange account (e.g., Coinbase, Binance, Kraken)
  4. Confirm the network (ensure it matches the exchange’s supported deposit network)
  5. Approve the transaction and pay the gas fee
  6. Once the funds arrive, sell them for fiat and withdraw to your bank account

Sending to Cash App: Since May 2026, Cash App accepts USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum and converts it to U.S. dollars on arrival. Swap your tokens to USDC on one of those networks in the 1inch Wallet, open Deposit USDC in Cash App’s Money tab, pick the same network, and send the USDC to the address shown. Send a small test amount first. USDC deposits are not available to Cash App users in New York, and Cash App’s Bitcoin deposits need native BTC, which the 1inch Wallet does not hold.

Note: The 1inch Wallet does not offer a documented cash-out to a bank account. Its Buy option connects to on-ramp providers, so converting crypto to fiat normally goes through an exchange or another service in between.

How to Transfer the 1inch Wallet to Another Device

The 1inch Wallet is not tied to a single device. To move it to a new phone:

  1. Install the 1inch Wallet app on the new device
  2. Restore from your encrypted iCloud or Google Drive backup with your passphrase, or choose to import an existing wallet
  3. If importing, enter your recovery phrase
  4. Your wallet and its assets become accessible on the new device

The original device keeps working until you remove the wallet from it. Deleting the app from the old phone once the new one works is recommended for security.

1inch Wallet Fees

Fee Type Who Pays and How Much
1inch interface fee None
Infrastructure fee May apply to certain swaps; covered by the resolver on intent-based swaps, paid by you on swaps routed through the DEX aggregator
Gas on intent-based swaps No native gas token needed; the network cost is built into the quoted rate
Gas on Solana swaps, swaps from native tokens and some very small swaps Paid by you
Liquidity pool fees Built into the quoted rate
Buying crypto with a card Set by the on-ramp provider

1inch does not add an interface fee of its own. Some swaps can include an infrastructure fee from the API provider layer, operated by 1inch Business, which also keeps any positive slippage, the surplus when a trade fills better than quoted. On intent-based swaps, the resolver pays the infrastructure fee and the network cost is built into the quoted rate, so you pay nothing on top of the quote. For comparison, MetaMask charges 0.875% per swap and Phantom 0.85% on select swaps.

Where to Buy 1INCH Token

The 1INCH governance token traded near $0.096 on October 14, 2026, with a market cap of about $135 million. To buy it:

Centralized exchanges:

  • Binance: 1INCH/USDT; the 1INCH/BTC pair was delisted in April 2026
  • Coinbase: 1INCH-USD for US users
  • Kraken: 1INCH/USD and 1INCH/EUR
  • KuCoin: 1INCH/USDT
  • Gate.io: 1INCH/USDT
  • OKX: 1INCH/USDT

Within the 1inch Wallet: Swap any supported token directly to 1INCH using the wallet’s built-in swap. No additional app or account required.

FAQ

What is the 1inch crypto DeFi wallet?
It is the self-custody mobile wallet from 1inch, listed in app stores as “1inch: DeFi Crypto Wallet.” It runs on iOS and Android, supports 18 networks including Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Solana, and has 1inch’s swap engine built in, so most swaps need no native gas token and are protected from MEV. You hold your own keys, and 1inch never has custody of your funds.

Is the 1inch Wallet safe, or is it a scam?
The official app is legitimate: it is published by 1inch Limited on the App Store and Degensoft Ltd. on Google Play, and the wallet app itself has no recorded breach. The scams around it are impersonations, such as fake apps, phishing sites and airdropped tokens that ask you to sign approvals. Only use 1inch.com, never share your recovery phrase, and ignore tokens you did not buy.

How do I withdraw money from the 1inch Wallet?
The wallet has no documented bank withdrawal, so cashing out usually takes two steps. First, swap your tokens to a stablecoin such as USDC or to a coin your exchange accepts, then send it to your deposit address on an exchange like Coinbase, Kraken or Binance, using the matching network. Sell it there for dollars or euros and withdraw the money to your bank account.

Can I send money from the 1inch Wallet to Cash App?
Yes, through USDC. Since May 2026, Cash App accepts USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum and converts it to U.S. dollars when it arrives. Swap to USDC on one of those networks in the 1inch Wallet, open Deposit USDC in Cash App’s Money tab, pick the same network and send a small test first. Bitcoin deposits won’t work, since the wallet holds no native BTC, and USDC deposits are unavailable in New York.

Does the 1inch Wallet charge fees?
1inch adds no interface fee of its own, unlike MetaMask’s 0.875% swap fee. Most swaps need no native gas token, because the network cost and pool fees are built into the quoted rate. You still pay gas on Solana swaps, swaps from a native token and some very small trades, and infrastructure fees from 1inch Business, the API layer behind the app, can apply when a swap routes through the DEX aggregator.

How do I log in to my 1inch Wallet on a new phone?
There is no account or password login, because the 1inch Wallet is non-custodial. Install the official app on the new phone and either restore your encrypted iCloud or Google Drive backup with its passphrase or import the wallet with your recovery phrase. Then set a passcode and biometrics. Any website that asks you to “log in” to 1inch with your recovery phrase is a phishing attempt.
