Is Hyperliquid running out of buyers just as the ETF crowd should be piling in?
This Hyperliquid price prediction starts at $79.93, the current HYPE price on October 19, 2026, at 10:30 UTC.
Momentum has cooled since the HYPE ETF triangle squeeze setup. Two weeks of selling did the damage.

HYPE News Today: Grayscale bought $7.8M of $HYPE

Grayscale is buying. Its HYPG fund added a net $7.8M of $HYPE over 20 days, with inflows on three of them. Meanwhile, 21Shares' THYP fund shed $20.9M. Mixed message.
Arkham flagged the split in its Grayscale buying post, with HYPE trading at $79.38 then.
$HYPE Price Forecast: ETF Flows Stall

A $HYPE ETF is a fund that tracks the token through a regular brokerage account.
Three of them now hold $410.31M in net assets, or 2.31% of market cap. Cumulative net inflow stands at $318.78M, per SoSoValue spot ETF data, as of October 16, 2026. Daily net inflow that day was $0.00.
Grayscale's HYPG holds $182.07M, Bitwise's BHYP holds $166.90M, and 21Shares' THYP holds $61.34M. All three slid between 3.5% and 3.7% on the day. But no fresh money showed up to cushion it.
Hyperliquid Open Interest Data

Hyperliquid open interest counts all futures bets that still live, meaning not yet settled.
It sits near $3.15B as of October 19, 2026, 10:30 UTC, about 15% under the early October peak of roughly $3.7B, based on the Coinglass open interest chart.
But the price fell harder, from about $94 on October 6 to near $78 by October 17. Open interest dropped less than price did, and that points to one thing. Leverage hasn't left.
Hyperliquid Liquidation Data

Hyperliquid liquidations are forced sales of leveraged trades once margin runs dry. Longs lost $4.86M of the $5.02M total over 24 hours. Shorts lost only $156.49K.
Over 12 hours, longs lost $99.21K and shorts lost $134.69K. So the pain has started shifting sides. But the latest hour flipped fully, with $4.28K in short liquidations and no long ones.
Big wallets have swung this market before, as an earlier whale buy report showed.
HYPE price prediction: Volume Heatmap Data

Binance leads $HYPE futures volume at $403.09M. Hyperliquid's own venue is second at $291.07M, then LBank at $231.11M and OKX at $130.79M. Bybit adds $106.37M.
An on-chain exchange holding second place says plenty about demand, and the Pump.fun Hyperliquid integration shows the ecosystem still widening.
HYPE Technical Analysis: Falling Channel

On the 4h chart, $HYPE has traded inside a falling channel.
The price topped near $97, then kept making lower highs and lower lows.
Then came the false breakout. $HYPE spiked above the channel top near $94.57, and that move failed, and bears took over.
The slide ran to the lower channel line near $76. The 50 EMA (an average of the last 50 four-hour periods) sits at $81.28. $HYPE trades at $80.04, just under it.
RSI reads 50.77. That's neutral, up from weaker readings near the lows. Neutral momentum and a price under the 50 EMA mean bulls haven't taken control. A push above the channel top near $84 would change that.
$HYPE price prediction: Support and Resistance Levels
These levels come from the 4h chart, and $HYPE sits below all three resistance zones.
| Level | Type | Note |
| $94.57 | Resistance 3 | False breakout rejection zone |
| $91.06 | Resistance 2 | Prior consolidation zone |
| $86.51 | Resistance 1 | First hurdle above the channel top |
| $76.62 | Support 1 | Lower channel bounce area |
| $74.62 | Support 2 | Next floor if $76.62 breaks |
So who's left to push price back toward $91.06? Chart levels matter here, and the buy the dip debate around HYPE shows why.
$HYPE Price Forecast Scenarios: Bull, Base, and Bearish
Bull: ETF inflows return, and $HYPE reclaims $86.51, opening at $91.06 and then $94.57.
Base: $HYPE holds $76.62 support but keeps stalling under $86.51.
Bearish: Sellers push $HYPE under $76.62, and $74.62 comes into play.
| Scenario | Levels |
| Bull | $91.06 to $94.57 |
| Base | $76.62 to $86.51 |
| Bearish | $74.62 or below |
As per CoinGabbar analysis, this Hyperliquid price prediction stays cautious while $HYPE trades below $86.51.
Two things decide the next move. ETF inflows, for one, and the second is a clean push through resistance. Without it, rallies keep fading.
Broader altcoin market updates matter too, since HYPE rarely moves alone. Timing matters here.
