Webull Sets November U.S. Launch for Bitcoin and Crypto Perpetual Futures

Webull plans to begin offering perpetual futures to eligible U.S. customers in November, starting with Bitcoin and selected other crypto assets through existing Webull Futures accounts. The brokerage said broader availability is expected before the end of 2026 in its October 20 announcement.

The rollout would bring a type of derivative commonly associated with crypto trading venues into Webull's U.S. futures offering. Unlike conventional futures, perpetual futures do not have a stated expiry date; Webull said the positions will be subject to periodic funding payments and maintenance-margin rules.

November rollout through Webull Futures accounts

Webull said eligible customers will be able to access the initial contracts without opening a separate product account, using their existing Webull Futures accounts. Bitcoin will be among the first contracts, alongside a select group of other crypto assets, though the company did not identify the additional assets in its announcement.

The company set November as the start date for the U.S. offering rather than providing a specific launch day. It expects availability to widen before year-end, leaving the pace and scope of that expansion to be determined after the initial rollout.

For Webull customers already using futures accounts, the arrangement places the new contracts alongside an established account framework. The announcement does not specify contract sizes, trading hours, funding intervals or the number of crypto-linked perpetual futures expected at launch.

KalshiEX listing and Kalshi Klear clearing

The contracts are to be listed on KalshiEX, a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated designated contract market, and cleared through Kalshi Klear, a CFTC-regulated derivatives clearing organization, according to Reuters.

That structure is central to the planned offering. KalshiEX would provide the exchange venue where the contracts are listed, while Kalshi Klear would provide the clearing function for the trades. The arrangement differentiates the planned Webull product from offerings available solely through offshore crypto platforms, while retaining the perpetual-contract format.

The CFTC on May 29 approved KalshiEX's BTCPERP contract, allowing a perpetual futures contract referencing Bitcoin's spot price to be listed as a futures contract. The agency's approval announcement established the regulatory route for the Bitcoin-referenced contract that underpins the market structure cited for Webull's launch.

Webull's announcement therefore arrives months after the BTCPERP approval and ties its planned customer access to the KalshiEX and Kalshi Klear framework. The company has not said whether every contract it ultimately makes available will track Bitcoin or which other crypto assets will be included in the initial selection.

Funding payments and margin liquidation

Webull said perpetual-futures positions will involve periodic funding payments and may be automatically liquidated if maintenance-margin requirements are not met.

The November rollout will initially focus on Bitcoin and selected other crypto assets, with broader availability expected before the end of 2026. Webull said products beyond crypto may follow, subject to regulatory review and exchange-listing requirements.
