Ethereum Price Today: Whale Buys Ether While Analysts Tip Pepeto for 100x

The Ethereum price looks quiet on the surface, yet one wallet just moved $69 million into ether. Ether sits at $2,516.15, per CoinMarketCap, about 49% below its $4,953.73 record, and the wallet still swapped 837.8 Bitcoin for 27,500 ether, per Bitcoin.com News. It even sold part of that Bitcoin at a loss of about $5 million to do it.

Whales rarely take a loss like that without a reason. One step earlier in the market, analysts are watching a similar early bet in Pepeto, an Ethereum presale with over $11.1 million raised and a live $0 bridge built for the same kind of trip that whale just made.

A Whale Swaps 837.8 Bitcoin for 27,500 Ether While the Ethereum Price Holds $2,500

Between October 12 and 13, an unnamed wallet sold 837.8 Bitcoin and bought 27,500 ether worth $69.68 million at an average of $2,534, per Bitcoin.com News. CoinCentral reports the same numbers from tracker EmberCN and spots a second wallet that swapped 229 Bitcoin for 7,469.8 ether.

The coins took a long route, too: Hyperliquid, then Arbitrum, then a bridge to Ethereum. So far the Ethereum price has barely reacted, and quiet charts like this one are often when patient money does its buying.

Where the Whale's Route Gets Cheaper: Pepeto's $0 Bridge and Ether's Next Levels

Pepeto: Lock on One Chain, Land on Another in 41 Seconds for $0

Moving coins between chains is easy now. Doing it cheaply and safely is still the hard part. The whale above needed three hops, and the last one ran from Arbitrum to Ethereum, two chains that Pepeto already links for a $0 fee.

Pepeto is an unlisted Ethereum token still selling in presale, and its bridge is already live across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Base and Arbitrum. Tokens lock in an audited contract on one chain, then the same tokens mint on the other once the lock is proven. There is no wrapped IOU, so supply stays equal on every chain.

Most bridges charge $15 to $50 per transfer, and a failed one can trap funds for good. On Pepeto, a failed transfer simply reverses the lock. Moves finish in under 60 seconds, one test landed in 41, and the only cost is network gas. On a $1,000 move, a $50 fee would eat 5% before any trading even starts.

Ether's own presale buyers paid about $0.31 in 2014, years before whales fought over it. Pepeto sits at that stage now, with over $11.1 million raised and a price that does not yet count a live bridge or the expected Binance listing. Analysts project 100x after listing, enough to lift a $1,000 position to $100,000 for anyone holding from this stage.

For an ether holder who follows where big money goes, this is the move that comes before the whales arrive, and each stage ends once its timer runs out or its target fills.

Ethereum Price Prediction: Can Ether Reclaim $2,575 and Reach $2,700?

The Ethereum price can reach $2,700 once it reclaims $2,560 to $2,570, analyst Ted Pillows told crypto.news on October 12. Today's floor is $2,500, backed by support from $2,480 to $2,510, while the 50 day average at $2,558 caps the price for now.

From our analysis, $2,575 is the line that matters. CryptoNews flags $2,555 to $2,575 as this week's key wall, and Michaël van de Poppe says a clean break puts $2,600 in play. Getting back to the record would take a 97% climb, so ether looks like a steady hold for patient money.

Conclusion: The Whale Bought Before the Chart Moved, and Pepeto Offers That Timing

A whale took three hops and a $5 million loss to own more ether, and the Ethereum price still sits near $2,516. Big money often moves before the chart does, and that same timing is what Pepeto offers smaller buyers: a live $0 bridge, a working exchange and $11.1 million already committed, all before listing.

The round now open on the Pepeto official website closes when its timer ends or its target fills, and the buyers who get in now hold their tokens before the open market sets a price, the same side of the trade the whale chose.
