Who will win the World Cup
Past World Cup winners
Argentina won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, beating France on penalties after a 3-3 final. France won in 2018, Germany in 2014, Spain in 2010 and Italy in 2006. The 2026 tournament, the first with 48 teams, was played in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June and July 2026.
The 2030 tournament is hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with the opening centenary matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
How a World Cup winner market settles
Each venue lists the tournament winner as a board of national teams, one Yes/No contract per team. The contract of the team that wins the final pays $1 and every other team's pays nothing; a final decided on penalties counts as a win for the team that lifts the trophy. Read each venue's rules for how it treats a tournament cut short or a team removed before it starts.
The venues usually list the next edition's winner market within a year or so of the previous final, and the busiest trading comes in the months before the tournament and during it. When a 2030 market opens on either venue, it prices on this page; settled editions are kept under Settled occurrences.
