Steve Z. Liu is the founder of APENFT, registered in Singapore in 2021. Liu has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He has over 20 years of experience working at financial institutions, including Fidelity International, Salomon Smith Barney, Nomura, and other top investment banks and institutions.
Core members of APENFT include experts in finance, traditional and digital arts, and engineers with blockchain/cryptography experience. Many of the core advisors of the project are from the traditional art world, such as Christie's and Sotheby's and other well-respected institutions.
How Does APENFT Work?
APENFT uses the decentralized file storage system Bittorrent File System (BTFS) to register artworks as NFTs on the blockchain. The project has deployed smart contracts on various public blockchains, including Ethereum, TRON, Binance Smart Chain, and Huobi Eco Chain.
Artworks get tokenized and stored in smart contracts of NFT tokens. Holders of NFTs own the rights and interests of the underlying artworks. To convert works and artists into NFTs, redefine values, and carry out other functions, there are nodes in the APENFT ecosystem.
The native token of APENFT, NFT, has several use cases. It's a governance token allowing token holders to vote on the management of collections, possible acquisitions, distribution, exhibitions of artworks, decide on the exhibits, their way, duration, etc. Also, NFT is used to reward users for liquidity airdrop, mining, governance activities, etc.
NFT has a max supply of 999,990,000,000,000 tokens. The initial issuing NFT price was $0.00000012. Currently, the NFT market cap is over $572.3 million.
