HYPE, the native cryptocurrency decentralized exchange (DEX) of Hyperliquid, jumped over 16% since yesterday to currently trade at $92. This buying pressure acts as a follow-up to the recent agreement between Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, and fintech application Trade[XYZ] to build a U.S.-regulated, 24/7 perpetual futures market using Hyperliquid’s core infrastructure. Another factor that contributes to today’s bullish momentum is significant token buying from Hyperliquid that has contributed to evaporating roughly 5% of its maximum supply.

Wall Street Infrastructure Meets Decentralised Settlement

On October 29th, ICE completed its partnership with developer trade[XYZ] to launch a domestic derivatives trading platform based on blockchain technology. The co-ordinated effort will create 24-hour continuous futures contracts for retail investors in the United States, subject to the required authorization from financial regulators.

As part of the deal, the proposed platform will facilitate trades through Hyperliquid, a decentralized layer one designed specifically for derivatives. The new system is built on a technical architecture called HIP-3, which is an enhanced version of the protocol variation for permissioned, regulated application layers on top of the public blockchain systems.

The division of labor utilizes the specialization of each participant:

  • Hyperliquid is the on-chain base-layer computing network, functioning as the neutral layer.
  • Trade[XYZ] remains responsible for the design of products, asset modeling, and implementation of the front-end.
  • ICE is the sole administrative operator responsible for compliance procedures, identity verification and the clearinghouse mechanism.

The future contract listings will cover a variety of asset classes, including ongoing trading of digital assets, foreign currencies, commodities, indices and corporate shares. To ensure alignment of interests, ICE has made a strategic equity investment in trade[XYZ] for an undisclosed amount. The project has also gained the support of early-stage external investor Stan Druckenmiller, a prominent macro investor.

In particular, this design will separate retail functionality from ICE’s main institutional futures business. The current trade[XYZ] offshore markets, operated under the standard, permissionless HIP-3 framework, will remain structurally separate from the domestic, permissioned U.S. deployment and continue to run as usual.

The framework is based on Hyperliquid Improvement Proposal 3 (HIP-3), which allows developers to integrate dedicated and independent perpetual exchanges into the network. Standard HIP-3 deployments operate under permissionless parameters. The HIP-3 modification brings this design by adding an on-chain allowlist that is managed by the deploying entity directly.

This structural adjustment lets operators add stricter KYC and access rules on top of the high-speed matching engine, separating the technological settlement layer from the access rules. As a result, regulated entities can use the blockchain’s performance without sacrificing compliance with local, sovereign regulations.

Hyperliquid Erases 5% of Token Supply via Deflationary Protocol Revenues

The underlying blockchain network, Hyperliquid, has permanently destroyed 49.87 million HYPE tokens, wiping out 4.99% of its absolute 1 billion token cap. The deflationary decrease is being directly supported by programmatic network monetization, with a current market value of around $3.89 billion.

Persistent network activity generated $1.69 million in daily protocol fees to the automated Hyperliquid smart contract buyback engine that acquired and incinerated another 19,700 HYPE tokens valued at $1.59 million over the past 24 hours of verification.

This steady supply reduction highlights the scale of the platform’s transactional network, which has generated approximately $1.38 billion in cumulative lifetime revenue.

Here’s Why Hyperliquid Price Could Jump Another 18%

In the last five days, the Hyperliquid price bounced from $76.24 to $91.14, registering a 19.5% gain. This upswing managed to overcome overhead resistance at $88.11 and also reclaim the daily exponential moving averages (EMAs) of 20 and 50, signaling a positive shift in market sentiment.

If HYPE coin manages to hold these levels after the initial buzz of the ICE-trade[XYZ] partnership and the intense token buying, buyers could drive the price another 18.75% to hit $108.2.

This potential upswing could challenge the resistance trendline of a long-coming channel pattern, marking a pivot moment for traders to determine the next move in Hypeliquid coin.
