U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $241 million in net inflows from September 28 to October 2, extending the sector’s positive streak to three consecutive weeks.

The inflow was significantly smaller than the previous week’s multibillion-dollar buying, but ETFs still recorded net inflows in four of the five trading sessions. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for most of the week’s buying, while Fidelity’s FBTC was the largest drag.

ETF Buying Slowed

The previous week ended with about $2.39 billion in net ETF inflows, the strongest weekly performance since October 2025. The following week was considerably quieter, with about $241 million in net inflows.

That represents a decline of roughly 90%, or about $2.15 billion less buying than the previous week. Despite the sharp slowdown, the sector remained in positive territory for a third consecutive week.

BlackRock’s IBIT led the funds with approximately $450 million in weekly inflows. ARK Invest’s ARKB followed with about $26 million, while the remaining funds recorded a mixture of inflows and outflows.

Fidelity’s FBTC was the largest drag, recording about $168 million in net outflows. Grayscale’s GBTC recorded roughly $55 million in outflows, while BITB lost about $39 million.

Buying Rebounded After Midweek Outflow

The week began with two consecutive positive sessions.

On September 28, the ETFs recorded about $31 million in net inflows, equivalent to roughly 367 BTC. IBIT led the day with about $54.8 million in inflows, while GBTC and FBTC recorded outflows.

Buying strengthened on September 29, when ETFs recorded another $66.2 million in net inflows, or about 793 BTC. IBIT contributed approximately $51.1 million, while ARKB added $33.2 million.

The trend reversed sharply on September 30. ETFs recorded about $148.7 million in net outflows, equivalent to roughly 1,780 BTC. It was the only outflow day of the week, with Fidelity’s FBTC accounting for most of the selling at about $125.6 million.

Buying returned over the final two trading sessions. ETFs recorded about $102.7 million in net inflows on October 1, followed by $189.9 million on October 2, the largest inflow of the week. IBIT accounted for most of the final-day buying, attracting about $158.2 million.

ETF Buying Fell Below New Bitcoin Supply

In BTC terms, the ETFs recorded approximately 2,850 BTC in net inflows during the five trading sessions from September 28 to October 2.

For context, Bitcoin produces roughly 450 BTC per day. The week’s ETF buying was therefore equivalent to about 6.3 days of new BTC supply out of the 7 days created during the week.

That was a significant slowdown from the previous week. From September 21 to September 25, ETFs recorded about 28,440 BTC in net inflows, equivalent to 63.2 days of new Bitcoin supply, despite only 7 days of new supply being created during the week.

ETF Buying and Price Movement

Bitcoin opened September 28 at about $84,455 and closed near $83,462, down 1.2%, as ETFs recorded $31 million in net inflows.

On September 29, ETF inflows rose to $66.2 million, while price was little changed, closing near $83,629. The following day, ETFs recorded their only outflow of the week at $148.7 million, while price also remained largely flat, closing near $83,563.

Buying strengthened on October 1, with ETF inflows reaching $102.7 million as price rose 1.6% to close near $84,853. On October 2, inflows climbed to a weekly high of $189.9 million, while price closed near $84,501.

Price then moved higher over the weekend, closing Sunday near $86,510. Across the full seven-day period, BTC gained about 2.4%.

The week shows that ETF flows and price sometimes moved in the same direction, but not consistently. The strongest ETF buying came on October 2, while the largest price move came over the weekend.
