What is a Coin?

A coin is a small, flat, round piece of metal or plastic used primarily as a medium of exchange or legal tender. They are standardized in weight, and produced in large quantities at a mint in order to facilitate trade. Coins are most often issued by a government and intended for circulation. Commemorative coins may be issued to celebrate an event or honor an individual.

Mineral is the naturally occurring solid material that makes up rocks and other geological features on Earth. It can also refer to any substance composed of atoms arranged in an orderly structure.
